Fortnite continues to grow day by day, with more players flocking to the Battle Royale mode than a horde of zombies attacking a base! There’s a good reason for this, because not only is Epic Games communicating with the playerbase regularly, but it’s also updating the game and adding new content at a blistering pace.
One of the newest additions to Fortnite: Battle Royale is a little place called Lucky Landing. This Asian-themed town has recently appeared on the southern island, offering players a new place to drop, collect loot, and rack up a few kills. Lucky Landing’s design has been inspired by the Lunar New Year Event in Fortnite, which added secret shrines to the map for players to find.
Lucky Landing first appeared with Patch V.3.1.0, which added two new weapons, the Dragonfire Auto-Shotgun (add to the Save the World mode) and the Hunting Rifle (added to Battle Royale), along with a few bug fixes and the ability to use a controller and mouse together.
As for the Lucky Landing site, the town is built around a main focal point, a low-lying building with an open-roofed center. At one corner of the village is a taller building, offering multiple floors to skirmish in, and maybe even a secret chest to find if you’re lucky. Due to the general shape of the roofs in the area, you’ll be able to parkour across them and use the center beam as protection.

In Fortnite, V-bucks act as a premium currency that is used to purchase Llamas, the game’s version of a loot box. Because V-bucks are such a hot commodity, you’re going to want to know how to get as many of them as humanly possible, and lucky for you, there’s more than one way to stuff your wallet full of them…
Because Lucky Landing is at the southern-most point of the island, if you do choose to land there you’ll potentially have quite a trek ahead of you to reach safety. When your boots hit the ground, take a moment to collect what you need to survive, and prepare to move – unless of course you luck-out and the eye of the storm shrinks to encompass Lucky Landing!

As for the surrounding area, there are plenty of hills and cover that afford you an excellent vantage point into Lucky Landing. If you have to approach the little town, take your time and keep your head down, lest someone perched in a building eyes you off first. You should also be taking full advantage of what you can hear, a headset like the Stealth 600 boasts Superhuman Hearing, allowing you to accurately pinpoint enemy footsteps and any construction that might be going on. Overall, Lucky Landing makes for a nice change of pace, so if you haven’t already, maybe make it your squad’s new jump point!
Now if you’ll excuse us, it’s time to jump back in and chase that victory!
