Destiny 2 Legendary Shards Glitch To Farm Infinite Shards Fast

Destiny 2 Legendary Shards Glitch To Farm Infinite Shards Fast

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted arrived earlier this week and aside from adding a whole lot of new content, Solar 3.0, and as of today a brand new dungeon, it looks like Bungie added one more surprise for fans. Albeit, unexpectedly…

That’s because the developers seem to have inadvertently added a brand new legendary shards glitch, which players can use to cheese (read: cheat) the game for seemingly an infinite number of legendary shards.

If you’re looking for a way to farm legendary shards in Destiny 2, jump on this glitch before Bungie patch it out, which you know they will as soon as they catch wind of this exploit. Read on, we’ll explain how to use the glitch (whilst you still can).

How To Farm Infinite Legendary Shards With New Destiny 2 Glitch

Follow the step-by-step guide below to farm an infinite amount of legendary shards in Destiny 2 with this new glitch:

  • Go to Rahool in the Tower
  • Buy a lot of Baryon Bough (cost 1 Legendary Shard) and trade it for 10,000 glimmer (cost 20 Baryon Bough)
  • Go into your collections. Under Armor tab, search for the levelling category and purchase any blue pieces from the following armor sets:
    • ‘Midnight Oil Suit’ (Titan), ‘Gumshoe Gumption Suit’ (Hunter), ‘Inspector’s Suit’ (Warlock)
  • Buy as many pieces from the named armor sets as you can hold and then dismantle them
  • When you dismantle each piece you’ll earn 3 legendary shards. If you’re level rank 20 in the season pass you’ll earn 4 legendary shards.
  • Repeat the steps to farm an infinite amount of legendary shards

As a side note, this is also a super quick way to level up gunsmith ranks too.

One last thing, a big thanks to YouTube user David who seems to have discovered the glitch earlier today. You’ll find his YouTube video below if you want to double check the steps and see the glitch working first hand.

What do you use Legendary Shards for in Destiny 2

When you’re not using legendary shards to buy pieces of exotic armor and weapons from Xur, you can also use legendary shards for some of the games best upgrade materials.

For instance, you’ll need plenty of legendary shards if you want Enhancement Cores (used to upgrade Legendary gear into Masterworks), Enhancement Prisms (used to upgrade armor into higher tiers of energy), and Ascendant Alloy (used for weapon crafting).

So it makes sense to jump on this glitch before it gets patched out, which hopefully won’t be right away as we imagine Bungie are all too busy with the launch of the new dungeon. We hope, anyway.
