The Cinequest Film & VR Festival in Silicon Valley has come to a close after an incredible two weeks of festivities celebrating ground-breaking technology. The main focus of the event was virtual reality, with artists, technologists, investors, and industry exports coming together to talk about the effect VR is having on the game and movie industry.
We here at Turtle Beach were thrilled to be a part of the celebration through the use of our Stealth 350VR headsets. The Stealth 350VR is specifically designed for use with virtual reality headsets, featuring 50mm speakers and battery-powered amplification, to take the VR experience to the next level. As part of our contribution, we were able to supply the Cinequest VR event with all the headsets they needed to ensure that the audience received the best possible virtual reality experience.
Over the two week period, game designers and movie makers showcased their creations to a ravenous crowd who were looking to soak up as much of the event as possible. As the Cinequest Film & VR Festival 2017 came to a close, a ceremony took place that awarded the artists for their efforts. Among the winners were a host of games with Job Simulator taking home the award for Best Family Game and Gnomes & Goblins taking the Visionary Leader Award.
Though the event has come to a close, those who weren’t able to attend will be pleased to hear we have some special footage of the Cinequest Film & VR Festival, where we take you through the weekend of VR recognition. We’ve also got some fantastic talks with some of the developers present where we discussed their audio decisions for their games.
Overall, we’re proud as punch at the turnout as well as the artists, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and developers who contributed to make the Cinequest Film & VR Festival the success that is was. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead on the virtual reality road!
