Five Craziest Changes in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3
New Flooded Map
There is no doubt that the most significant change that happened with Chapter 2 Season 3 was the transformation of the Fortnite map. Players will find that the map is now flooded and separated into different bodies of land. An array of new locations were also added to the game with the flooding of the map. Players must now utilize the various forms of aquatic transportation found in the game if they want to be able to effectively make their way around the world.

Sharks and Whirlpools
Speaking of aquatic travel, two new forms of travel were a couple of the changes that arrived with the start of Chapter 2 Season 3. These new forms of transportation are sharks and whirlpools. Players can get a shark by casting out a line when they see a shark fin in the water. Once they hook a shark, they will be pulled on some skis and can then make their way around the flooded map. Whirlpools are the second new form of aquatic transportation that members of the community can now find on the flooded map. These are swirling circles in the water that will launch players who touch them into the sky from where they can glide to a new location.
New Weapons and Items
The loot pool of Fortnite was also dramatically changed in addition to the new map and transportation methods. These loot pool changes consisted of the arrival of the charge shotgun to replace the pump shotgun, the unvaulting of the P90, hunting rifle, and bolt-action sniper rifle, and the additions of a flare gun and firefly jar throwable item. It would be an understatement that there is now plenty of new things for players to use on their quest for Victory Royales in Chapter 2 Season 3.
Cars and Trucks Are Coming
Now, this particular change has not taken effect in its full form yet, as it will be taking place later on in Chapter 2 Season 3, when the water flooding the new Fortnite map begins to recede. However, some point in the future players will have the ability to drive various cars and trucks around the map to add an adrenaline-fueled way to move around the map.
Build Your Own Glider
Gliders have been one of the most popular aspects of Fortnite over the years, with players having a plethora of choices to choose from when they are flying in the air during a match. However, the gliders available to players were the only ones that Epic Games have created. This fact changed with one of the most significant changes for Chapter 2 Season 3, as players now can build their very own umbrella glider that will be uniquely theirs. There is no doubt that the community will be making some exciting ones throughout this period of the game’s life.
