There are so many different aspects of League of Legends that players need to learn, but becoming familiar with the various gaming jargon is probably the last thing players will have in mind when they first start out. That being said, it helps to know what fellow teammates and opposition players are typing every now and again.
If you keep seeing players type ‘ff’ but are not sure what it means, then don’t worry, we’ve got a quick explainer for you underneath that will hopefully bring you up to speed.
What Does FF Mean In League of Legends?
FF quite literally means ‘forfeit’ in League of Legends and if you’ve been on the bad side of a few clobberings you might have seen other players typing ‘ff’ as they want you to surrender and cut the match short, most likely because you’re as good as defeated.
Do note, this feature is technically known as ‘Surrendering’ in the game and at least 70% of the team must agree to surrender in order for the vote to pass.
It’s worth noting that you cannot forfeit a game before 15 minutes have passed, but chances are that you’re only being asked once a game is in its final throws anyway.
There’s no real benefit to Surrendering in League of Legends beyond saving yourself (and your team mates) time, so you can exit the game and jump into the next one as quick as possible.
That’s everything you need to know about ‘ff’ in League of Legends. If you’re looking for more guides and help check out some of the links just below.
