GTA Online The Contract Payout Explained

GTA Online The Contract Payout Explained

How much does The Contract give you GTA Online? If you’ve never played the sizable content update added to the game in December 2021, you might be wondering how much money you can make from it.

After all, The Cayo Perico Heist is a cash cow, but who wants to keep running that heist over and over. Principally, The Contract DLC added fours ways of making money in GTA Online. This includes Security Contracts, Franklin’s Payphone Hits, Short Trips, and VIP Contracts.

The Payout for The Contract DLC, therefore, isn’t one specific payout, but a collection of different payouts. Regardless of this, if you feel like a change of scenery but want to know if it’s worth your time first, then read on for a full breakdown of the payouts you can earn from The Contract in GTA Online.

GTA Online Security Contracts Payout

Security Contracts are a series of missions available in Free Mode linked to Franklin Clinton burgeoning new Agency for A-List clientele. There’s six different types of Security Contract Missions

Each Security Contract can have a different level of difficulty and the payout will be scaled accordingly.

  • The payout for ‘Professional Security Contracts’ ranges from $31,000 to $42,000.
  • The payout for ‘Specialist Security Contracts’ ranges from $44,000 to $56,000
  • The payout for ‘Specialist+ Security Contracts’ ranges from $60,000 to $70,000

In addition, it’s worth noting that for every Security Contract that players complete, they will earn an additional daily revenue of $100 to the Agency safe. This is capped at $20,000 and would require the completion of 201 successful Security Contracts to gain the maximum daily income.

GTA Online Short Trips Payout

Short Trips are a series of co-op story missions with Franklin and Lamar which become available once you complete GTA Online: The Contract.

In total, Short Trips only includes three missions – Seed Capital, Fire It Up and OG Kush – but all missions can be complete on Normal or Hard difficulty, and this also impacts the potential payouts for Short Trip missions.

The payout for Short Trip missions on Normal is $50,000, whilst the payout for Short Trip Missions completed on Hard is $62,500.

GTA Online Payphone Hits Payout

After completing a few Security Contracts, Franklin will reveal the Agency’s dirtier work in Payphone Hits. Off-the-books, street-level assassinations with bonuses paid out for following specific instructions.

You can call Franklin to request a Payphone Hit and if Franklin has a job available, a ringing payphone will appear on the Radar. There are eight potential payphone hits in GTA Online, all avaiable as Free Mode jobs that can be conducted in any session type.

The Payphone Hits payout is $15,000, plus $70,000 if the bonus criteria is met.

Associates undertaking Payphone Hits will only be paid $15,000, plus $30,000 as the bonus.

GTA Online VIP Contract Payout

The main source of income with the Contract DLC is the VIP Contract Missions that see players tracking down Dr Dre’s missing phone and his new, unreleased music.

These VIP Contract Missions consist of roughly 13 separate missions that will take roughly 4 to 6 hours to complete from start to finish.

Each successful VIP Contract mission will earn players a decent payout (which varies), but you’ll also earn $1,000,000 upon completion of all listed VIP Contract missions.

In total, the payout for completing The Contract is just shy of $1,600,000.

You will also earn $1m every time you complete The Contract.
