Details on Fallout 5 are thin on the ground, and the game’s release is likely still many years away, but thankfully we do know that another season of content is coming to Fallout 76 to fill the void.
For now players are enjoying everything the game has to offer with the existing season ‘A Better Life Underground’, but what do we know about the next season of content? Thankfully some dataminers have revealed plenty before we get the official news from Bethesda directly, so read on for everything you need to know.
Fallout 76 Season 9 Release Date
Confirmed: Bethesda has announced that the 'Test Your Metal' Update is coming to Fallout 76 on June 14, and when it does, it will kick off the ninth Season, called “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale”
At the time of writing there is no official release date for Fallout 76 Season 9, but based on the release dates for past Fallout 76 Seasons we normally see each season lasting somewhere between 9 and 13 weeks. The obvious exception being ‘Season 3 – The Scribe of Avalon’ which bizarrely lasted 19 weeks in total.
According to Bethesda’s official 2022 Fallout 76 Roadmap, Season 9 is will start at some point in June 2022, so we suspect it could be in the first or second week of June.

Season 9 Scoreboard
Following a recent update to the Fallout 76 PTS several dataminers were able to uncover plenty of new details about the game’s new Season 9 scoreboard and rewards (more on those further down).
Based on a recent datamine it’s believed that the new Season 9 Scoreboard will be titled “Heart of Steel – A Dread Island Tale”. As per usual players will be able to rank up to level 100, and those who manage to do so will earn themselves the Blackbird armour, the gameboard, and a few more treats.

Leaks – Datamined Season 9 Rewards
Season 9 Rewards Confirmed - Bethesda has now confirmed the Season 9 Rewards for Fallout 76, including all 100 ranks available during the season. As usual this includes a host of rewards you may already be familiar with, like in-game currencies, consumables, Perk Card Packs, cosmetics, and outfits. There's also all-new sets of Blackbird Elite and Mercenary Company Power Armors, and a don raider-themed sets of Armor. For those who like to decorate their camp, there's also an Arm Wrestling Machine to temporarily buff up your Charisma, as well as a new Chuck Wagon Cooking Station. As we mentioned, the PTS revealed plenty of info about the new season rewards too. Most of these have been unearthed by some of the games leading dataminers.
