Turtle Beach Headsets at EVO 2015

Evolution, or EVO, is the biggest fighting game tournament of the year and draws competitors from around the globe itching to prove they are the undisputed best in their chosen game. Titles such as Ultra Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat X, Killer Instinct, and even Super Smash Bros. Melee, were represented at this year’s digital slugfest. The event sees thousands of hopefuls enter and compete in front of thousands of live spectators, while hundreds of thousands more watch the action online to jeer, cheer, and generally lose their minds over the drama and special moments that arise.

We were honored to have our XP SEVENs set up on the main stage for competitors to use. Why are headsets important for these players? The audio cues in these games can be crucial to the timing and execution of advanced tactics. Top-tier players will know to react a certain way if a specific sound effect is heard. Plus, being up on the main stage can be nerve-racking and the XP SEVENs are terrific at blocking out the roar of the crowd.
