Diablo 3 Best Crusader Build | Season 26

Diablo 3 Best Crusader Build | Season 26

Using the best Diablo 3 Crusader build for Season 26 will be absolutely essential for players wanting to push the limits of what’s possible. The better the build, the better the chance you have of topping the Diablo 3 Leaderboards.

Naturally, with every new season you’ll need to reevaluate which builds are worth sticking with, especially for solo greater rift pushing. Unless you’re seriously not fussed in which case you might as well use whatever playstyle you prefer; or alternatively the Angry Chicken Witch Doctor build because it’s just bonkers.

That said, we imagine that if you’re reading this you want to know what Crusader build to run use in the current season. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner, or a seasoned pro, it always helps to assess your options before you start levelling up and beginning that new season grind.

Assuming you’ve read our Diablo 3 Season 26 Tier List, you’ll likely already know the best S Tier builds from the F Tier flops. However, if you read on we’ll take you through everything you need to know to ensure you have the best Crusader build in Season 26.

Update - Diablo 3 Season 27 has reached the PTR for testing and will arrive on main servers fairly soon. We'll update this Diablo 3 build guide again following the launch of Season 27.

Is The Crusader Good In Diablo 3 Season 26?

Although the loss of Soul Shards significantly hit the Crusaders Akkhan Bombardment Build, it’s fair to say that Crusaders are still a good class option in Season 26.

This is because there’s still a very good S-Tier build to choose from, plus a mini collection of decent A-Tier options should you fancy something different.

The Crusader might not be as well represented as it once was in S-Tier, but it’s still one of the best around.

What is the Best Crusader Build in Diablo 3 Season 26

As noted previously, the Crusader Akkhan Bombardment Build took a big hit with the loss of the Soul Shards from Season 25. However, this hasn’t hit the Aegis of Valor Heaven’s Fury build, which remains a strong S-Tier option and the best Crusader build of Season 26.

Keep reading, we’ll explain everything else you need to set up your Crusader build, including your gear, active skills, passive skills and more.

Aegis of Valor Heaven’s Fury Gear Setup

As the name suggests this Diablo 3 season 26 build uses the Aegis of Valor set and we’re looking to make use of the six-piece bonus. For those who don’t know here’s how it works:

Aegis of Valor Bonus
2 Piece Attacking with Fists of the Heavens empowers you, allowing Heaven’s Fury to deal 125% increased damage for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times
4 Piece
Hitting with Fist of the Heavens returns 5 Wrath and reduces damage taken by 1% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 50 times.
6 Piece
Increase the damage of Fist of the Heavens and Heaven’s Fury by 20,000%

It’s worth noting that for this build, we’ll only equip five pieces of the set, which we’ll amplify with Ring of Royal Grandeur in our Kunai’s Cube slot.

Now let’s take a closer look at the items you want to equip. In addition, if you follow the links you’ll also be able to take a closer look at the item stats on the official Diablo 3 website.

Best Crusader Passive Skills

The table below will give you a run-through of the best passive skills to choose from when assembling your Crusader build.

Skill Description
Heavenly Strength You can wield a two-handed weapon in your main hand while bearing a shield in your off hand. Your damage dealt is reduced by 20%.
Holy Cause The amount of damage dealt by your weapon is increased by 10%. Whenever you deal Holy damage, you heal up to 1% of your total Life.
Long Arm of the Law Increase the duration of the Active effect of all Laws by 5 seconds.
Finery Gain 1.5% Strength for every gem socketed into your gear.

Best Crusader Follower

Like many other classes in Diablo the best follower to pick is the Enchantress since she is the best option to help with cooldown reduction.

Unlike the Templar or Scoundrel, the Enchantress can use Prophetic Harmony to reduce your skills’ cooldowns by 5.00% based on the Enchantress’s Intelligence on her equipment. As such it goes without saying that when it comes to her stats you want to improve Intelligence on every piece of gear.

Aegis of Valor Heaven’s Fury video guide

If you want to get really in-depth we suggest having a watch of the below guide from Diablo expert Rhykker in his Crusader Aegis of Valor Heaven’s Fury build video.

It’s worth noting that whilst the video itself was made for Season 23, the video also covers the non-seasonal variant which means it’s still relevant for Season 26 players.

Alternative Diablo 3 Crusader builds in Season 26

As we noted previously there are quite a few decent A-Tier build options if you don’t fancy running with the Crusader’s Aegis of Valor Heaven’s Fury build.

The following two builds are still decent options in season 26 for solo greater rift pushing, and it’s worth remembering that A-Tiers are only 5 Greater Rifts behind S-Tier builds.

Crusader Akkhan Bombardment build

Although the Crusader Akkhan Bombardment build has tumbled down the tier list in Season 26, it’s still a very solid A-Tier option for players. It’s also worth considering that the Armor of Akkhan set is part of the Haedrig’s Gift for Season 26, making it also one of the easiest builds to acquire and assemble. Something to keep in mind. As such, well worth a look, despite not being the best of the bunch. Follow the link below to learn more.

Crusader Legacy of Nightmares Bombardment build

This build is slightly better than the Akkhan Bombardment build, but do consider it’s much harder to gear for. Potentially players could decide to to start off the season using the Akkhan Bombardment build, before later transitioning to LoN Bombardment and the no set leaderboards. Just a thought. That’s it – everything you need to know about the best Diablo 3 Crusader build for Season 26.
