Where is Xur in Destiny 2 today? That’s the question on the minds of most Guardians come Friday, curious to know where the elusive Agent of the Nine has pitched his hat to sell his exotic wares.
His will is not his own, but he’ll happily take those legendary shards off your hands in exchange for some sweet exotic weapons and armor. If you want to know what he’s selling this week, along with his location, read on.
What time does Xur come and leave in Destiny 2?
If you want to know what time the vendor comes to Destiny 2, then start hunting for him in-game every Friday at 6 PM BST/10 AM PT/1 PM ET. Do note, Xur will spawn on a random location that changes each week.
Like his arrival time, Xur will also leave the game every Tuesday at 6 PM BST /10 AM PT/1 PM ET, which incidentally is the exact same time as the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset.
Where is Xur Today?
Update - Xur is in the Tower this week.
At the time of writing, Xur is not live in Destiny 2. He will return to the game on September 30 at 6pm BST. You can be sure that when he does appear, he’ll be found in one of the following three locations:
- EDZ – Above Winding Cove
- Nessus – In a tree next to Watcher’s Grave
- Tower – On a platform to the left in the Hangar
If we had to wager a guess though, we doubt he’ll appear on EDZ, since that’s where Xur was setting up shop last week.
Some time ago he also used to appear on the planets of Io and Titan, but both of those locations are now shrouded in darkness, but it’s possible they could return in the future with future expansions.
What is Xur selling this week?
Update - Xur is selling the following exotic items: • Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle • Dunemarchers Exotic Titan Leg Armor • St0mp-EE5 Exotic Hunter Leg Armor • Astrocyte Verse Exotic Warlock Helmet Armor • Hawkmoon with the 'Quickdraw' perk • Dead Man's Tale with the 'Subsistence' perk
Xur will return to Destiny on September 30 at 6pm BST, and obviously, that means he’s not live yet. We’ll update this page as soon as we know what he’s selling.
What did Xur sell last week?
In the event you’re wondering what the exotic vendor was selling last week, you can find a list just below:
- Vigilance Wing, Exotic Pulse Rifle
- Raiden Flux, Exotic Hunter Chest Armor
- Aeon Safe, Exotic Titan Gauntlet Armor
- Lunafaction Boots, Exotic Warlock Leg Armor
- Hawkmoon with the ‘Hip-Fire Grip’ perk
- Dead Man’s Tale with the ‘Fourth Time’s The Charm’ perk
Each weekly purchase of Hawkmoon or Dead Man’s Tale will cost 125k Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, one Exotic Cypher, and one Ascendant Shard. But that’s not all, Xur also has a selection of Legendary items.
All Legendary Armor and Weapons cost 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer each.
Why Is Xur Not Showing Up Or Appearing?
Now, we’ve covered Xur for many years and we can’t remember any occasions when the exotic gear merchant decided to not show up (he craves those Legendary Shards).
Assuming you’ve not got your timezones mixed up (we’ve done that before with the change from daylight savings time to standard time) then there’s potentially an even more simple explanation.
If you’re positive you’ve got the correct planet but can’t find Xur in his usual location, it’s possible that you loaded into the game before the daily reset has taken place. In which case, all you might need to do is head back to orbit and then load back in.
