Apex Legends Mobile Launches May 17 | iOS & Android Requirements Confirmed

Respawn has announced that Apex Legends Mobile will launch on May 17. The game has been designed explicitly for mobile device, with streamlined controls and “thoughtful optimizations that result in one of the most advanced battle royale combat games available for a tablet or phone”.

Enjoy the new trailer just above, but keep reading for a quick FAQ on all the important details you’ll need to know to play the game, including the mobile system requirements on iOS and Android.

How is Apex Legends on mobile different from Apex Legends on consoles or PC?

We’ve worked hard with Lightspeed and Quantum Studios to expand the world of Apex Legends with new mobile-first legends, maps, gameplay, modes, progression and live events. If you like the console and PC Apex Legends experience, you’ll love Apex Legends on mobile.

Does Apex Legends Mobile feature cross-play with other versions of the game?

Because Apex Legends Mobile has been built specially for mobile, it doesn’t feature cross-play with the console or PC versions of Apex Legends.

Is Apex Legends Mobile free-to-play?

Yep! Like its PC and console siblings, Apex Legends Mobile is fully free-to-play** (and only includes cosmetic items). Apex Legends Mobile will feature its own Battle Passes, collectible cosmetics, and unlockables unique from those found in the PC and console versions of Apex Legends.
