Best Tech and Gadgets at E3 2017

Tech, gadgets, accessories, it goes by many names, but each E3 brings with it a wealth of new hardware for us to get our hands on. Whether it’s a new type of fighting stick, a kickass new headset, or even a new console, the tech and gadgets announced at E3 are just as important as the games.

Though there were some surprising game announcements and a bunch of games we need ASAP, none of it is good if we don’t have awesome hardware to use with them! So below are the five best tech and gadgets from E3 2017!

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 & Stealth 700

We here at Turtle Beach are extremely proud of the audio products we produce, and we’re just as proud to have announced our brand-spanking new Ear Force Stealth 600 and Stealth 700 series for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Utilizing Microsoft’s new Xbox Wireless technology, the Stealth 700 & 600 for Xbox One removes the hassle of cables to give you ultimate freedom. No station, adapter, or wires, all you need to do is turn on your headset and get ready to game.

For the PS4, the Stealth 600 & 700 grant the same freedom of wireless technology. The wireless USB transmitter offers smart channel-hopping technology, allowing you to easily get to the important part: gaming. The Stealth 700 also includes DTS Headphone:X surround sound technology that creates an amazing 7.1 soundstage around your head – enhancing your game and allowing you to pinpoint the competition.

The Xbox Duke Controller

The original Xbox controller, "The Duke", is coming back! After the shock announcement that original Xbox games will be coming to the Backwards Compatibility program, Hyperkin dropped another bombshell: the original Xbox controller is coming back.

Lovingly dubbed “The Duke” by the world, everyone loved to hate the original Xbox controller. It’s huge, unwieldy design made it incredibly awkward to hold and even if you did get used to it, you couldn’t deny its peculiar looks. However, it holds a special place in all of our hearts, and to see it returning is like welcoming back an old friend.

Hyperkin are creating it with Microsoft’s blessing for PC and Xbox One. It will be updated for the times, featuring Bumpers, wireless connectivity, and a screen where the old Xbox logo used to be. We can’t wait to get our hands partially around this huge beast of a controller.

Xbox One X

Announced at E3 2017, the Xbox One X is coming out in November.Sticking with the Xbox theme is the Xbox One X, Microsoft’s latest addition to the Xbox One family. Originally revealed by its project name as Xbox Scorpio, the Xbox One X was finally unveiled at this year’s E3 on-stage as part of Microsoft’s Press Conference.

This new Xbox One console is the most powerful home entertainment system on the market, offering true 4K gaming and 60 fps. Microsoft went over all the specifics, using a whole lot of jargon, but the short of it is that they created the Xbox One X from the ground up and have actually designed entirely new architecture to increase performance. The CPU is cooled not by a fan, but by a liquid vapor chamber. How cool is that!

Thrustmaster T-GT PS4 Racing Wheel and Pedals

The Thrustmaster T GT is perfect for Gran racing enthusiasts. If you’re a racing enthusiast, this racing wheel and pedals by Thrustmaster is just… wow. The Thrustmaster T-GT utilizes some truly astonishing technology, whether in the wheel or the pedals. The Force Feedback is 100% proportional to the force determined in the game, so you will feel every single little detail, enabling unprecedented control over your vehicle.

Even the foot pedals are crammed full of tech. The base houses improved weight balance for better stability during endurance-testing Grand Prix while the pedals boast progressive resistance through a conic brake mod. Honestly, if you want the true Gran Turismo Sport experience, a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 with a Thrustmaster T-GT is the way to go. You’ll hear the car and feel the car like never before.

Nyko Nintendo Switch Portable Docking Kit

The Nyko Nintendo Switch Dock is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for travel. Finally, our beloved Nintendo Switch, the ultimate portable console, is receiving a third-party dock. That’s right, no more having to lug around the official Nintendo dock – that can stay safely at home. The crew over at Nyko revealed their Portable Docking Kit at E3 2017, and it’s one gadget we simply must have.

This $45 dock acts as a little stand for the Switch while also connecting it to a TV via HDMI. The unit will also charge it! Marketed as a portable console, the Switch runs into problems if you can’t charge it when at a friend’s place (or if you’ve taken it to E3 for some in-line entertainment). Thankfully, the Portable Docking Kit includes everything you need, a USB-C AC adaptor and HDMI cable, so it’s good to go straight out of the box.
