Back 4 Blood: The Best Weapons and Attachments

Turtle Rock Studio’s spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead has finally arrived, bringing all the guts and glory you expect from this co-op totally-not-zombies (but-totally-zombies) romp. However, if you want to survive the perils of the Ridden, you’ll need excellent weapons in your arsenal to make it out alive. Just as with the weapons themselves, attachments come in varying grades, from white (common) to legendary (Orange/Gold). So be sure to keep the attachments up as you find them. Through both the safehouse shop and the loot you may find in the various prepper stashes, etc. scattered throughout the level. Here are the best weapons and attachments to use in Back 4 Blood.

Heading out there? Make sure you’ve got the right tools before you do.

M16 Assault Rifle

Every squad needs a trusty assault rifle to mow down those hordes of undead, and the M16 is more than worthy of a place in your loadout. While it may lack the damage of some of its counterparts, the M16 is armed with brilliant accuracy to nail those ranged headsets. Partner this with its three-round burst, and recoil won’t be an issue for this steady-paced firearm. We recommend the following attachments to maximize the potential of this reliable rifle:

  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Stock: Light Competition Stock
  • Magazine: Extended +P Mag

If you prefer to blast away your foes with reckless abandon, then the AA12 shotgun is here to fulfill your wishes. Equipped with supremely meaty damage and a generous drum magazine, this devastating weapon is essential for getting out of a closer quarters pinch. Vector Submachine Gun

Sure, the UMP45 brings back memories of Modern Warfare 2 and has attractive damage stats, but the Vector submachine gun is a speed demon when it comes to reeling off those bullets. Armed with better recoil control, the Vector can drill through ridden effortlessly, while your friends scramble to survive. Make the Vector an exceptional addition with these attachments:

  • Barrel: Compensator
  • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Stock: Light Competition Stock
  • Magazine: Extended +P Mag

Stick an extended mag on it and the Vector becomes one of Back 4 Blood’s best weapons.

Glock 23 Auto

While you may have expected to see a Sniper Rifle or an LMG in the midst, the most surprising weapon in Back 4 Blood’s weapons cabinet is the underrated Glock 23 handgun. In its base form, this is a solid choice as a secondary weapon. Something everyone will want on hand for those tight ammo moments or reload times. Yet, with a very simple tweak, it doesn’t take long for you to turn this into a powerhouse pistol that lasers through any and all opponents to the bloody end. Just pair it with these attachments:

  • Barrel: Compensator
  • Magazine: Fast Mag
